Carefully, yet crudely stitched by flickering and fading candlelight, early folk art was made with whatever was at hand. Her face has a hand sculpted nose,mouth and brows, and her eyes are hand stitched with yarn.Her crown is made of heavy osnaburg fabric,which has been extremely grunged..and is attatched to her head Her dress is an olde americana print,grunged & rubbed with spices..with an appliqued grungy star on its front.. Her Loons are grungy muslin,as is the banner she holds with hand stitched "Liberty for All" across the banner. Her wings are crafted from heavy blue homespun,lightly stuffed,grunged,and hand sewn to her back. Her flag is crafted from grubby ticking,with blue star flag field...It is hand stitched to flag pole,and has three rusty bells attached. she has a wire hook for hanging,or will sit nicely..your choice Liberty measures 21" tall from her crown to her feet...
